Swedish Day 2013, 12th May at Haynes, Sparkford, UK.

Swedish Day 2013 will be held at the Haynes International Motor Museum on the 12th May.
This year we invite all Auto Jumblers with Saab and Volvo "things" for sale to come along, no charge to set up but we do ask that items for sale be for the Swedish Vechicles. This could include Scania and Volvo trucks too.
As per the other years there is no charge to come along to this yearly event.
Please put the date in your diary and we look forward to seeing you in Sparford the second weekend in May.
    More details to come.

    Camping on Site
We have just been told it will be possible to camp on site.
The cost to the show will be £170 so this will need to be covered.
My suggestion is that we get at least 17 campers at £10 a unit, confirmed, before we say we can go ahead.
If more than 17 decide to camp then a part refund will be offered back to you.
If we do not reach 17 then we will tell those interested the average new price and it will be up to yourselves.
Please let me know by email, robin.kerry@virgin.net, if you want to use the show field on the Saturday night, by the 10th March 2013.

In my last post I told you that we were able to offer camping for the Saturday night.
I can now bring you great news about the cost of the security guard. The cost of £170 has been kindly covered by Reid Business Services Ltd.

Although the camping is now free we would like to ask campers to make an affordable donation which will be
given directly to The Cancer Research UK organisation.

Please let me know by email if you want to confirm that you would like to camp, although we wont turn anybody away on the night.

I would thoroughly recommend this event.
GWS as a group have been a few times and the number of cars on display just gets bigger and bigger.
Great day out with a good atmosphere.

In previous years we have convoyed to this event, so we will be doing the same again but with a twist.
It is on the same day as our local Avenue Monthly Car Meet:
Pics here: Flickr: The Avenue Drivers Club.'s Photostream
Held in Queen Square, in Bristol.

So some GWS'ers plan to meet up in Queen Square, around 9.30 then spend an hour looking at all the cars and grabbing a coffee & bacon sandwich.
At 10.30ish we leave for Sparkford and Swedish Day. We should get to Swedish Day around 11.30

If anyone traveling 'down', 'across' or less likely 'up' to Swedish Day and would like to join us, simply turn up on the day. No need to book.
