Smile Need some input - looking for a uesd/semi-new Saab 9-3

Good Morning, All Just looking for some input I live in Pa. checking on Cars.com I have been looking at some used low milege 9-3. 2008/2009 and up. Don't like the idea of a car w/o a factory warranty. Their is a large number of 2010's in the area, most a off lease machine. I am not sure about how well the XWD will hold up as the milege starts to add up. My last machine was a 9000 CSE w/ 128k on her - I know still young, but was pancaked on our RT22 by a semi that his brakes gave out. I was lucky to walk away! Just am not sure about a non- factory warranty on a 2010. The 2009's are around 17k to 30 k -some aero's most SS. Any input is and will be appreciated. Thank you Ken

    Ken,

Here is a good read for you to help make your direction on a 9.3 SS.

The warranty for 2009 models was for 4 years / 50K miles so not much of the original warrant is left if you go for a 2008/2009 model. You can always get an aftermarket warranty if it really is important. Some dealers cleared out their new 2011 9-3 for up to $15K off MSRP.

XWD would be nice to have but maintenance, repairs and reduced fuel mileage should definitely be considered.

That must have been quite a scare being hit by a semi truck! Lucky to walk away indeed.
