1999 Saab 9-5 Aero Front brake upgrade
I want to upgrade the front brakes to 308mm rotors any advice?
What do I need? I have read some just using Aero Brackets and existing calipers? Is this true or do I need to purchase Aero front Calipers?
Thank you in advance for the help.

You really only need the carriers and larger dust shields. You can use the calipers you have.

I just went with some Viggen rotors which I think are larger than my Aero stock. No other changes were made. Works well.

9-5 Aero and 9-3 Viggen rotors are the same size, the only difference being the Viggen rotors are slotted.

so reading the 98-01 Aero and 9-3 Viggen 98-02 used same calipers and brackets. Is this true?
I have found the brackets for the viggen are listed for sale by most parts places pretty cheap so I was looking at just purchasing new 2000 viggen front brake set up will this work on the 99 95? Next question is on the rotors I am running Brembo's now is there a big difference in quality. I know the brembos have lasted very well and did not warp like many other rotors. Any comments or should I just order a cheaper set of rotors?

Yes the Viggen components will work.
As for the quality of the Brembo rotors... I am not a fan. I bought them for two different cars and they didn't hold up very long (I replaced them for OEM Saab rotors inside of a year).2011 Saab 9-3 Aero XWD Performance by Hirsch "Wolffe"
