2013 Saab Festival 31 May - 2 June Trollhattan, Sweden
I know a couple people from here were at the festival in -07, for those who didn't, here's the thread over on saablink Saab Festival in Sweden in 2007, June 7th-10th, blast from the past right there. Dunno if everyone saw the announcement that they're having another one this year Saab Festival 2013 . Should be interesting to see how the festivities are affected post-bankruptcy, but I'd imagine it'll still be a fun time. We're planning on heading over for a week or so, and we've been looking into ro-ro shipping rates . Anybody else planning on going?

I have been looking into it, I am torn between this and the International Saab Meeting in the UK. With a small baby in the house my wife will only let me go to one of them, should be a week long trip for me, drive two days north to Sweden, or two days west to England.
Would you do this one or IntSaab, given the choices? Edit: just saw a bunch of the pictures from galleries on that TSL link, now I am seriously thinking of going to Sweden instead...

Trying to decide if I'm gonna head over again or not. Not sure I can do two years in a row.

I thought this festival was only every other year.

Last year was the Maptun Meet in Orebrö, that I unsuccessfully tried to talk you into attending. :-)

Yes I remember. I don't think I was in Germany yet when it happened. I arrived here middle of December.

The festival really is a unique experience, nothing like the hometown crowd so to speak. It's also just a really nice area to visit if you ask me, and a really nice time of the year as well.
