Need Help With Power Steering Leak

2008 9 5 2.3.
The attached potos shows the line where the leak is behind the motor next to the cat and behind the sump.
I am not sure the part No. to order but I think it might be this: 12766945
If so I would appreciate it if someone could confirm.
Also, since the WIS seem to offer no real help has anyone replaced this line and, if so, what is the best procedure.

Did you get this fixed at your local mechanic? Doesn't seem like a part that commonly fails.

I have the part from "saab parts cheap" which is dealer in Cary NC. 30.00 less than everyone else. Smar parts guy. I have the part and seals but am in no hurry as it is a very complicated repair with a great deal to remove to replace. It is a very slow leak. I will ponder doing it myself or take it in.

I just replaced one of those lines a month or two ago on a customer's car - the rubber had a slice in it (don't know how or why) but I wasn't a hard job except you had to get both lines. The new cooler line was not compatible with the old front half which does run to the pump. It BECAME a major pita b/c I had to replace the front and rear portions instead of just the rear. To the rack wasn't too hard at all - nor was that portion of line. The front half was the bear. Make sure your new line matches your old line @ the junction on the subframe towards the passenger front. If it's not the same - you WILL need the front half too - and then you are in for some fun.

I have the same problem with my 2006 Saab 9-5. There was a leak in the power steering hose, got it replaced (used part) and now another leak in the crimps on the same hose. Is this a known issue with the 9-5s?

Thanks burns. I had to replace just the rear hose. It failed at the compression fitting. It was a total pain in the ass to replace. Half the stuff around the motor had to come out. Is this a normal replacement issue? No. Mine is an 08 and it was just a bad part.

There is a TSB for MY06-08 about the power steering delivery hose chafing against the radiator where is is possible for the line to get sliced. Couldn't find any problems with the compression fitting or other hose malfunctions.

Sometimes parts just fail. GM has ordered a million of these hoses and some of them are just gonna be a little bad. Has nothing to do with the quality of the car.

My 2006 2.3T has a failed power steering hose, I have the new part (from eeuro) but the banjo bolt on the steering rack by the firewall looks impossible to get at. Is there a tutorial or instructions (WIS?) that show how this can be done?
