headlights flicker

Hi my headlights sometimes flicker when i switch them off any ideas ?

Do you mean like a pulsating sort of flicker? Or do you mean like an "off, on, off again, on again" sort of flicker? Pulsating bright/dim lights can be a sign of worn alternator brushes. You may also notice it in other lights, but the headlights will do it the most. If your alternator brushes are worn, you can replace the entire voltage regulator, or (if you can find replacement brushes) you can just replace the brushes themselves. Good luck!

Ooh, then maybe it's a bad ground or a bad headlight switch. Is this a classic 900? What year is it? Do both flicker at the same time? Or is it just one and then the other?

its a 95 aero estate 2003 mate said it could be a relay ?

Xenon or Halogen lights?

If you have the Xenon lights, some flickering is normal for a second when you turn them off.

they are xenon and sometimes flicker for a few seconds

The Xenons will flicker briefly when you switch them off, that is normal. If you notice them flickering while you're driving, experience has shown (for me at least) that the bulb is getting old/nearing the end of its life.

i have just replaced one bulb and you are right it flickered before it packed in,now both flicker or flash on off when i switch them off but not always,my mate thinks it could be a relay? thanks for your help.
