We've updated our reliability stats for the 9-5 to include owner experiences through June 30, 2014 (making them about 14 months ahead of some others).

Repair frequencies, in terms of repair trips per 100 cars per year:

    2006 9-5: 94, high, small sample size
    2004 9-5: 131, high, small sample size
2003 9-5: 129, high, very small sample size
2001 9-5: 120, high, very small sample size
2000 9-5: 73, low, very small sample size

Next updates in November and in February. The more owners participate, the more comprehensive and precise these will be.

We've updated our reliability stats for the 9-5 to include owner experiences through September 30, 2014.

Repair frequencies, in terms of repair trips per 100 cars per year:

2006 9-5: 79, moderate, very small sample size
    2004 9-5: 115, high, small sample size
2003 9-5: 122, high, very small sample size
2001 9-5: 140, high, very small sample size
2000 9-5: 69, low, very small sample size

Additional participants always helpful. (I'd love to get rid of those sample size disclaimers.)

So, how have these cars been doing lately?

Our reliability stats for the 9-5 now include owner experiences through March 31, 2015. (Others are nearly a year behind.)

In terms of repair trips per 100 cars per year ("low" is best):

2006 9-5: 105, high, very small sample size
    2004 9-5: 65, low, small sample size
2003 9-5: 127, high, very small sample size
2001 9-5: 145, high, very small sample size
2000 9-5: 76, low, very small sample size

Next updates in August and November.dates in August and in November. As suggested by the sample size notes, we need more participants to provide precise stats for these cars.

Our reliability stats for the 9-5 now cover the year ending June 30, 2015. (Others are over a year behind, and so report how these cars were doing when a year younger.)

    Repair trips per 100 cars:

2006 9-5: 97, moderate, very small sample size
2004 9-5: 114, high, very small sample size
2003 9-5: 127, high, very small sample size
2001 9-5: 92, moderate, very small sample size
2000 9-5: 135, high, very small sample size

Did 2000 and 2001models had "high" rating in past two years? We might be seeing a pattern in here that could be inline with the maintenance schedule

We've updated our reliability stats for the 9-5 to include owner experiences through the end of 2015, about eight months ahead of other sources. In terms of repair trips per 100 cars per year--lower is better:

    2006 9-5: 80, moderate
    2005 9-5: 70, low
    2004 9-5: 196, high
    2003 9-5: 112, moderate
    2001 9-5: 88, moderate

The sample sizes were very small in all cases, which could explain much of the variation from year to year. With additional participants we could provide much more precise stats.

We've updated our reliability stats for the 9-5 to include owner experiences through June 30, 2016. Reliability information elsewhere is based on a survey conducted in April 2015--well over a year ago.

Repair frequencies, in terms of repair trips per 100 cars per year (lower is better):

2006 9-5: 150, high, very small sample size
2005 9-5: 161, high, very small sample size
2004 9-5: 189, high, very small sample size

We'll have further updates in November and next February. The more owners participate, the more comprehensive and precise these will be.
