Continental ContiExtremeContact
Tire: Continental ContiExtremeContact
Type: Ultra High Performance All-Season
Size: 235/45 ZR 17
Car: 9-3 SC Aero '06 and 9-3 SS 2.0T '06
Where bought: Tirerack
Price paid: $118 each plus shipping
Miles driven on tires: 10,000 miles
Driving conditions: Dry roads only
Driving style: Spirited / Fast
Tread wear / warranty: 400 AA
Would you buy again: Yes
Positives: Great performing tire with decent tread-wear rating
Negatives: Little bit noisy
Notes:Very good tire which performed very well on dry and hot roads in California. It felt the car was glued to the road on twisty mountain roads. Steering feel was awesome and seemed to match the 9-3 very well. It is a favorite on tirerack and it is also supposed to handle the wet and white stuff very well. I would absolutely get this again when looking for a high performance all-season tire. Very decent price for what you get. Tire was made in Germany.

Tire: Continental ContiExtremeContact
Type: Ultra High Performance All-Season
Size: 225/45 ZR 17
Car: 2005 9-5 Aero SportCombi
Where bought: Tirerack
Price paid: $625 USD delivered to my door
Miles driven on tires: 1,500 miles
Driving conditions: Dry/wet roads only
Driving style: Spirited / Fast
Tread wear / warranty: 400 AA
Would you buy again: Yes - so far
Positives: Great performing tire with decent tread-wear rating and relatively quiet
Negatives: Softer sidewall - can feel it settle in aggressive turns
Notes: While I find this tire very grippy and consistantly predicable, I do find that the sidewall is a little softer than I would like, once it does settle into a turn, it is very predicable and stable with no surprises. Very decent price for what you get. Tire was made in Brazil (I thought they would have been made in Germany).President, The Saab Club of Canada
