Any 9-4X drivers from Europe?
I was wondering if there are other 9-4X European owners in this forum.
Perhaps they have experiences in re-programming the Infotainment system (with Cadillac software?) to make it compatible with Europe. Especially the different radio FM frequencies are a little bit annoying. And maybe someone has already found a Navigation Map for Europe...
Thanks for any help!

There are 3 at the Saab dealer in Kiel in northern Germany. I have read they are quite knowledgeable about these. What country are you from and do you already have a 9-4X?

Hi everybody,
thank you very much for your replies. I see it's almost like in Lord of the Rings: "You are a 94x owner, Frodo. To drive a 94x is to be alone!"
I'm from Switzerland and I'm very proud to own a 94x Aero in Ice White Pearl.

Welcome! :-)
You wrote you have a "swedish version"? What does this mean? Is your Infotainment system really compatible with Europe and you can chose even FM radio frequencies like 102,8, 101,6... ?

Hi! I have a 9-4x - VIN #78 - bought at the bankruptcy estate auction. I live in Tromsø, Norway.
Still have US navigation and radio - the radio frequency trouble is quite annoying. Looking into a piggyback DAB receiver as the norwegian FM-band is shutting down soon anyway.
Biggest problem for me is that no saab dealers ever got to train on the 9-4x - and the Cadillac dealer in Umeå Sweden is my closest workshop that even do service on the car (Cadillac is impossible to sell in Norway due to high taxes on heavy gas guzzlers). But still worth it :-)

Swedish version
Hi,
Yes, the Swedish version (I have serial number 5), is all prepared for Sweden including the infotainment system and my GPS.
According to the auction company (KVD) there were only 6 or 7 cars (all Premium version) that was ready made for a pre-launch in Sweden that in the end never took place.
so the cars have been sitting at the port in Gothenburg for about 18 months.

This is great news! So there exists a software version for Europe but the question is now: how does my SAAB dealer get this version, is it possible to overwrite the existing US version and does it solve the issues with the FM frequencies or the DVD country code...? Many question marks... ;-)
