Gasoline smell
Hi there,
Not sure if anyone else is experiencing this, I'm getting a gasoline smell inside the car and inside the trunk area around the fill pipe.
I've changed the fuel cap...so now I have a new fuel cap...cheap try.
I saw an old recal for FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINEELIVERY:HOSES, LINES/PIPING, AND FITTINGS I think that was back in 06.
Not sure if this was ever done or even related. Nothing in the previous owners receipts.
Forgot to mention its a 2005 95 Aero 2.3T
Thanks,
bman

I read of reports that 1990 Saab 900's or around that year had gasoline smell during right turns due to cracks in the filler pipe. I had a 1990 900 and had some gas smell in 1995. This was traced to a loose connection, not a crack. It was fixed by tightening a screw. The fix was done without charge by the dealer. The fix continued to work up to 2003, when I no longer had the car.
For your car, the problem might be different.
