    Head unit from 9-5 in a 9-3



    Hi there, I'm Portuguese and new in this fórum, but i can see that you are an expert. Can you tell me if the radio show in the picture it fit in my SAAB 93, from 1998? My original radio isn't playing very well. he can put the volume very high without doing anything, he change station whenever he want's, etc. the radio have his own "life"???     I moved your post to a new thread.

    I am not very familiar with the 9-3 but it looks like the head units are very different compared to the 9-5.

    Hi Frank, Are you talking about size? Isn't in the Saab 95 a double din like in Saab 93?? Regards, Gonçalo

    Yes, it's a double din in the 9-5 but with a non-standard cage.

    I would imagine with enough skill and re-wiring this could be done. At the same turn - why bother. Just install a nice aftermarket unit if you plan to go through all that effort anyway.
