Has anyone on saabworld tried the bolt mod?

My turbo boost gauge only gets about halfway into the yellow....thinking about trying it real quick, would rather just get a new valve but not sure where to find one or if another valve can be substituted....my car is not an aero....the turbo boost stops @ about 4K RMPs or so.....any insight on the bolt mod would be appreciated...see link for more details....thx!!

BTW I realize that Saab's are designed for low end torque and that's where most the power is but I'm still loosing boost. thx again

My 01 was a bit of a pig till I did the bolt mod. Eventually I was going to replace the check valve, but it has been 3 years.

Which is the check valve that goes bad which makes people do this? I've never seen this done and I don't see how it's a good idea. I'm just used to fixing cars right I guess....

The 1st one behind the 1st T. It is hard to get to. There are 2 Check valves and 2 T's running from the BCV back to, I think. The 2nd T spits towards the rear of the motor. Look at the diagram in the 1st post above. See his link.

I did the bolt mod to my Aero, didn't feel a thing, so I went back to stock.
