This year has been a lucky year as far as winning. I've won several things after not having won anything in 15-20 years. Selection of contest where it is easy to win may be the answer.

Here's a sweepstakes that seems very easy to win. They even say "Lot's of Loot, Everyone Wins". You can enter online.. O'Reilly has a lot of stores but not in every small town. So far, I've entered four times and won four times. Twice, I won a $5 of $25 coupon and the twice, I won $5 of $5, which is essentially $5 in free merchandise. If you don't have a printer connected to the smartphone or computer that you are using, you can log in later and it will have a list of coupons waiting to be printed. It also says that stores will accept a coupon if viewed on a smartphone or tablet.

Really, sign up. You can enter twice a day. I figure the odds of winning is about 40% per entry. I win nearly every day that I enter. So far, I've won't about $60 in coupons. Since things are rarely exactly $5, I might spend $15 to get $75 worth of merchandise. So far, I've gotten a padlock, clock, penlight batteries, spark plugs, spark plug socket, brush, etc.

Many times, the clerk told me that I was the first or one of the few to redeem coupons. You have to print it despite instructions saying you can just show them the coupon on a tablet or smartphone.

This sweepstakes has ended. It was very easy to get a coupon for $5 off a minimum purchase of $5. These coupons expired at the end of June.

I got a lot of stuff, such as a car wash mitt, car soap, car wash sponge, brush to clean wheels, NGK spark plugs, mat to catch leaks from under the car, clock, AAA batteries, padlock, bug and tar remover, spark plug socket wrench bit, visor organizer, cotton gloves, razor blade holder, duct tape, door edge guards, one wiper blade for the rear window, bottle of Techron, license plate frame, etc. Each item costs about 20 cents to $1.
