Might sound like a silly question, but isn't this type of damage covered under your auto policy's glass protection?

I am sure it is, but the replacement windshields are a little difficult to track down even with the insurance company buying.

Yes, doesn't matter who's paying for it if there are no windshields anywhere in the GM or Saab system.

Have you Contact Saab ANA Parts in Trollhattan?

So you you still not buy a windshield?

I don't see how contacting Europe would help . . . these cars are all North American.

I just got a little chip in my 9-4x, better get it fixed right away.

Saab Parts North America would be Choice 1

After that Trollhattan would be Choice 2

Doesn't matter where the cars are from those are their respective supplier locations.

Been more than a month since the dealer charged my credit card $700 and then stiffed me with "Saab just sold the last one." Just checked again with the dealer's parts department. No windshields anywhere in the system and no projected delivery date of any new production.

Call GM in Mexico. Perhaps they have a few stored somewhere, possibly in Ramos Arizpe where they were made. This is the corporate telephone number for GM de Mexico: 01-800-50-80000 or 01-800-466-0811 (these are Mexican 800 numbers).

what about after market or 3rd party (or whatever they are called) companies like Safelite or such?

What happens if you can't get the windshield?
