K&N High Flow Air Filter vs. aFe Magnaflow Air Filter
What is better for the $80 big ones? I have been getting bad responses about the K&N filter. Also, thinking the dry filter is the way to go to prevent oil damaging the MAF. Thoughts.

After some research I have found that the Genuine Saab High Flow Filter is really just a K&N RE0910. What makes it a Saab Special Part is that 3 inch metal tubing and the bracket. I got mine for $38 with shipping and my local hardware store got me everything else I needed.

This is what GS says about their's: S&B Drop-In Sport Filter.Custom made to have larger filter area than the K&N Same dimensions as the original with deeper pleats giving a huge filter area. Use with the snorkel for best gains.

This is the K&N that Genuine Saab is selling for $80 ridiculous dollars.

My 2006 Combi (2.0T) came with a K&N insert filter - I have no plans to change this - but if I do all I need is the metal tube since I have 2 other air filters which will work fine.
