    Question Coolant Loss

So I've only had my 9000 a few days, and this past day after checking all the fluids I noticed my coolant in my reservoir is non-existent. This is after about a total of 45 - 60 minutes driving it (two ways - to and from work) - mostly highway. I smell coolant sometimes (with the windows down), but not too often (again mostly highway).

I've also got pictures of some oil coming from...(I honestly don't know where) and pictures of the coolant cap.

Other things that may help is my temp gauge doesn't ever go past about 1/4, so it goes above blue, but it stops in between blue and the halfway point. May be a temp sensor or something I'm thinking - but I don't know if that relates to coolant loss....From what I can tell the fan doesn't kick on either.
Regularly I notice my girlfriends 9-3 fan kicks on after being parked - I've never heard my fan - while sitting or after being parked.

Onto the pics - also I will point out my oil on my dipstick looks fine, not burnt nor milky.

Any help would be appreciated - I don't want this engine blowing up - plus I use it to get back and forth to work, so I need to fix this asap.

Update. Park it at home after a 25 minute drive home.

    This:

It looks like right before the passenger compartment, or a little behind the firewall...heater core? And if so can I bypass it?

So, when it was pouring out last night it almost looked like it was all coming out of this, but I don't know what it is.
