auto transmission goes into limp mode home

hi can anyone help me i have a 2000 saab 93 2litre sport turbo which has dropped its self into limp mode i have changed the transmission fluid and its still in limp mode can anyone tell me why thanks.

hi im new here and i have just bought myself a 2000 saab 93 2litre sport turbo which is an automatic i have a slight problem with the car a few weeks ago i got a light come up on my dash so i looked it up and found out it was the gearbox light it was telling me that there was a problem with the box and it gone into a limp mode ive changed the fluid and its made no change its still in limp mode could anyone please help me id like to know what could be causing this problem it does disapear after a few attemps of turning the ignition on and off but then it comes back on after it has been running for about 10 minutes i dont want to get rid of the car as i find it is a very nice drive and very spacious for my family could anyone please tell me what could be causing this problem and how to solve it thanks.

First of all, you should get that error code read using a Tech II device.

1) Get the fualt codes read via Saab Tech2
2) Determin if the Trans or the Throttle is in limp home mode
3) Report back.
