i installed the ABS module and the ABS warning lights are a thing of the past. now for a test-ride to see if my odometer and speedometer came back to life..... i got the top down but it hung-up. i got it up but had to manually yank it because it got hung-up again. i'm hoping that i can just add some hydraulic fluid because the motor works. is there a place where i can add fluid? what kind of fluid should i get?

    thanks,
    tim

Hi Tim. If you lower the rear seats, undo the trim, move the flap of upholstery out of the way, undo about 8 bolts, lift up the metal tray and you will find the hydraulic motor and reservoir. I went and got the Saab recommended hydraulic fluid, found it at a local Cadillac dealer and it was about $40 for a itty bitty container (maybe 48 oz) of it. I'm betting though that you've got some busted shear pins, u-joints or microswitches.

thanks, Topless.... the switches seem to be working as does the motor. i'll poke around under there and look for some broken pins and u-joints. also the headliner is hanging down. what's the fix for that?

The u-joints and pins are all in the trunk, up along the top. Not sure about the headliner, possibly some clips?

ok, thanks.... that will save me some time. i'm going to poke around this eve after the sun goes down. i'm hoping to find something obvious.

when you get a chance, can you look between your top and liner and tell me what holds the liner in-place? that would be huge.... i see some plastic tubes that look like they should be attached to the metal arms in the mechanism.

    thanks,
    tim
