    Single DIN Ideas

So my 9000 has an aftermarket radio, and has a nice empty din - it's covered up by a piece of wood (mimicking the wood finish of the dash).

Any ideas other than a cubby hole? I had that on my 9-3 and it seemed like a waste of space.

I am considering a ScanGaugeII and making something to fix it into the DIN hole. But our Saab's give us half the info found on a ScanGauge anyways....

So this is what I'm going with.....

UltraGauge OBDII Scan tool & Information Center

I did some research between ScanGaugeII and UltraGauge - I like what I'm seeing with UltraGauge. And at 1/3rd the price!

And the customization is pretty decent - http://ultra-gauge.com/ultragauge/su...al_3_30_13.pdf

I plan on just doing a little cubby, and mounting this to the right side more than likely - pictures will be posted once its in my possession.

Only $60? looks very interesting so would enjoy seeing more about it and see how it works in your Saab.

Not quite what you asked, but somebody on a local mc forum put a 7" Android tablet into a double-DIN space. I thought it was a pretty cool idea: replace the stereo, add Torque and an OBD adapter, NavFree for a built in GPS, MP3s for uninterrupted tuneage while travelling, and whatever other apps you like.
FWIW I had a ScanGaugeII which went with my GTi when I sold it. It worked well for me for several years but I could never get the MPG calibration to be exact.
