203 9-3 Convertible latches close before top back up all the way

I have a 2003 9-3 convertible, Out of the blue, when closing the top, the glass wont secure itself. It leaves a gap of about an inch. Upon inspection it appears that the latches remain closed so the loops don't fit in place. Any ideas on how I can fix this?

I'm not sure what controls the latches - if it's a microswitch or what. Hopefully one of the more experienced guys on here can give you an idea.

I'm currently having problems with my 2001 9-3 convertible. I know how frustrating it can be!
