so by my naked eye, it appears to be about 7 to 8 sec 0-60 in sport mode?

I think the official number is just a bit below 8 seconds. The 3.0i and 2.8T are only a few tenths of a second difference. While it may not have the same torque as the 2.8T or power as the 3.6L in the SRX, it is not a bad engine at all.

Using Car Performance (free) app on my phone (HTC Thunderbolt), I got 8.9 sec 0-60 while pulling out on to the highway. This app uses GPS to track your speed, location, etc to calculate Elapsed time, acceleration, and a few other things.

Since the TB's GPS isn't the greatest to lock on to your position, I don't know how accurate this app really is.

On a side note... It seems I'm getting better gas mileage now. Last two fill ups have been in the 18's.

I just found out the other day the center armrest is a sliding armrest like in many other Saabs. It makes the cup holders useless when you slide it forward but it provides a little bit more comfort. And it doesn't slide as easy as the 9-3 and 9-5 which is a good thing.
