    Hey everybody! Its been awhile

It's been awhile since I've been active on here and just thought I'd come back over and see what's up. I recently started back at school here in Louisville pursuing a major in Accounting and business administration, so needless to say I stay pretty busy. I did a fair bit of work to my car since the last time I really posted here.

First was getting a new exhaust system. Since there aren't many pre-made systems for Saabs I winged and picked out a couple mufflers and had a shop put one together. I went with a Magnaflow 4" diameter body resonator with 2.5" in/2.5" out to a 4"x9" oval Magnaflow 13236 muffler and an eBay tip. Total cost including fitting was about $330.

Next up was new wheels. I picked up a set of 17x7.5 Volvo "Tethy" wheels from a friend of mine for $300 with usable tires.

Then I added a set of roof racks:

Then I got bored of the wheel color and painted them black.

Added a fairing for the roof bars and got bike racks (not shown):

And then I made my own projector fog lights:

(Still has the protective installation film on the acrylic)

That's all I've done so far, but I have plans for the near future are as follows (In order of when I will do them):
-Powdercoat the wheels a black pearl color like this:

-Repair and repaint a factory Saab 9-5 Aero front lip that I bought for $13
-Lower 1.5" in springs and refresh the entire suspension to help out handling and get rid of the SUV like ride height.
-Get a stage 1 tune from Brew City Boost

Comments and criticisms are welcome and appreciated. Thanks for reading! I'm hoping to stick around here more often from now on.

Welcome back. I like the wheels. Are they 5x110, or did you have to use wobble bolts or adapters?

    They're 5x108, so I'm running wobble bolts.

Not a big fan of the 3.0V6 cars - or any V6 for that matter - but you made it sound decent! Looks like a nice vehicle too. Any more information on your Fog light mods? Looks neat!

The V6 is really the only thing I don't like about my car. haha It's not bad, I just wish I had all of the options the 2.3s have for mods. I may have to make up a tutorial on my fogs on here sometime.

The Saab is still alive and doing well. Since the last time I was here this happened:

Then about a thousand miles after that this started to happen...

So then I had to do this....

    Finally!

I got it put back together two days before I drove it 600 miles (one way) to Carlisle. So that was fun.

Now the suspension is a wreck and makes all sorts terrible noises, and I need an O2 sensor, but it's still running strong! And I'm still enjoying the car.

Changing the thermostat on the V6 seems a tad more complicated than on the I4. Thanks for the update, good to see the 9-5 is still going with just a few needs for repair.

Yeah, it was a pain. All in all about a 5-6 hour job. And that was with everything going exactly like it should.

Wow, that's a long time to replace a thermostat. After having done a few on the 2.3 engine, I think I can replace it in an hour or so. Well, maybe two with getting all the tools out, putting the car on ramps and taking a short break after swearing at those housing bolts that can be difficult to access. Fortunately, thermostats should last for a while.
