Tech 2 anyone?
With the gradual reduction of Saab repair shops, I'm giving serious consideration to buying a Tech2 in order to perform diagnostics. The choices are a bit confusing; the official GM version is big bucks, while Chinese versions are much less. And you have to have the software aside from the device to operate it. I'm leery of ordering from a Chinese source, not knowing who is reputable.
I know there are members who have a Tech2, and I hope a few of you will share some info about them.

Interested as well; I don't own one and (knock on wood) no need for one yet, but I seem to be slowly creating a stockpile of GM Saabs.
There was also a discussion on GRM about Tech2 sources this week.

I wonder what is the minimum number of people needed to buy and hare a Tech 2? Perhaps 3 people?

I saw the Tech2 discussion on GRM, but as these discussions go, it didn't resolve anything other than it's great to own a working Tech2.
As for sharing, it would probably work best if a local saab club had one for its members use.
The savvy enthusiast can usually diagnose without one, but it usually involves replacing parts until the problem goes away. Tech2 would greatly help. Reasonably priced of course.
