ME9 Comm on P-can
Does anyone know what part of the me9 has to be awake to communicate on the p-can?
im working on a 06 9-3 areo with the 2.8 turbo v6 automatic .
no start problem ,can reports ECM missing on buss .
If i remove the ECM main ground then pulse it on and off the ECM EVENTUALLY IT CAUSES the Ecm
to be seen on the can and then the car starts . but if i leave it grounded and turn off the key after about 20 secs cannot restart unless i remove ground and pukse it again?

I assume you are working with a Saab Tech2 latest software and have TIS access? Try performing an SPS of the ME9 and re-add it. See if that cures any of the issues. If not I have a Turbox ME9 unit I'd gladly sell you very cheap to give a go. Mind you it is from a 2008 9-3 TurboX XWD car so it MAY not work for the 2006...

2006 is a one year only ME9 ECU. They go bad often. I have had success at Mile Hi Saab for used units when they were unavailable for a couple of years from Saab since the bankruptcy. Only other time I've seen them missing from the bus was when the UEC crapped out. Those few also randomly coded for TCM and ABS/TCS ECU's missing as well. UEC is easy to replace and they are plentiful. Security access is necessary to add it.

Glad you got it sorted out. You found someone who remanufacture these?
