Rear seat belt not retracting?
Anyone taken apart the rear seatbelts to see if they can be fixed to make them retract like they are new?
Thanks ahead of time.

If I remember you have kids. Likely a potato chip is rolled up in there.

I will have to check that out Mike but it is both rear seat belts on both of my 06's that are having this issue. When I owned VW's this was super common but not on my Saab's.

Never done this but the WIS has good instructions. Doesn't look too difficult to get to the seat-belt reel.

I hade some problems with my seat belts not retracting, but I used CRC silicone spray to clean and grease the belts and now they are like new.

Be careful when you use siliconspray and protect the upholstery, especially if it is leather upholstery. Put a towel under the belt, pull the belt completely and spray on, rub the product with cloth the entire strap length. Pull out and drop back seatbelt and jerk in it so that the mechanism locks up, repeat this several times until the belt start to roll freely and easily. Use plenty of silicon spray. This tip I got from my local repair shop and it works great.
