fuel filter 9-5 sportcombi 07

Hello everybody, i know it's a Friday but still is anyone there who had a chance to change
fuel filter on 9-5 2007../.../?
What's the location of the filter?, i've heard it's a bit different from years 05 and lower..
Car drives excellent!80-90-.....100MPH just got back from Orlando, Fl.(escort late model)
wanted to work on brakes, fuel filter,and may be tran fluid change.
If anyone can give me some advise on anything mentioned above would appreciate.!

The fuel filter is located underneath the car in front of the right rear wheel. During the 2005 model year, they changed fuel filter connection type so you need the newer one and a fuel line disconnection tool.

For some reason, I remember seeing something about the external fuel filter being removed from later model years and the only filter left is inside the gas tank or fuel pump. Perhaps someone else knows more about that.

'06+ cars don't have a serviceable fuel filter. They switched to that 9-3 Sport Sedan style pump and even went so far as to remove the cut-out in the floor for easy of access so the tank needs to be dropped in order to replace level senders/pumps.
