Yet Another 9-5 with no boost
It seems there are hundreds of threads with hundreds of symptoms and hundreds of solutions.
Well none of those worked......so.....
2007 9-5 with no boost
- mechanic checked cat OK
- mechanic checked wastegate OK
- I replaced vacuum lines
- replaced boost control valve
- replaced intake pressure & temp sensor
- replaced vacuum valve
- verified turbo is free (on car)
- replaced a number of gaskets and O-rings
- checked continuity of each wire to the computer
The only things I have NOT replaced are the MAF (seems OK), bypass valve (seems ok) , wastegate actuator and the computer itself.
Not throwing codes. I was getting a knock sensor but that has stopped.
Yes, I know throwing parts at it is not the best solution, but when time is limited it can sometimes help.
I am at a loss as to what it might be.
Ready to trade this thing in with no boost if I can't get this solved!
Help!!!!

Looks like you checked everything but the seat belt and the fuel line components. The seat belts are probably good.

I was going to check the seatbelts but I have not been able to as right now the car goes from 0-60mph in about 3 weeks.

I haven't changed the fuel filter.
This is definitely a boost problem...but it certainly wouldn't hurt to change the filter. It's nearing 75K, so it's overdue for a filter change.
My neighbor knows a turbo guru god person thing that apparent has highly compressed air pushing the blood in his veins so he can go faster.
So I might pass the car onto him for a couple of days to see what he can do.
The car is for sale on Craigslist but no one wants a "Sick Saab".
They all lack adventure....they want everything to work. Where is the fun in that I ask you??

Looks like the fuel pump and filter are worth looking at. Check out these two links, there are more. By the way. I love the challenge (as long as it does not include using an easy out), most things makes sense once you start studying it.

What exactly do you mean with 'no boost'?

Seems like all I am getting is baseline turbo boost. Nothing beyond that.
OK to drive on side roads, but it does not accelerate enough to drive on the highway.
The car idles great. Strong idle seems to eliminate fuel pump and filter.
However, I will definitely replace the filter anyway.
I suppose I should purchase vacuum and pressure gauges as I am getting into that territory where numbers could tell the story and solve the issue.

Fuel pressure could be an issue, no fuel, no air= NO BOOST. You should also check air filter and box assembly for obstructions like field mice. LOL...no kidding on that. At top of turbo at hard pipe to crankbox check if Boost Pressure is leaking past checkvalve (white) which heads to TB inlet. Those are oneway valves and they can let boost creep back causing issues. Hope this helps.
