SaabWorld site design
I have been experimenting with skinning the forum and made a new Swedish skin with a soft yellow for the bar main navigation bar, brighter blues for the headers and a darker gray for the background. Insoired by the Swedish flag, of course. I set it as the default for now but you can always change back to the old one. Scroll all the way to the bottom on any page and you'll see a drop-down box on the left.
There are many free skins and skins available for purchase but I haven't found one yet that would be perfect for SW. At least these new colors make it stand out a bit from the other forums and appear a little bit brighter.
There are 100s of elements that can be modified for each skin and it is easy to go overboard with colors.
Love it? Hate it? Whatever..? your feedback will be appreciated.

I like it, but the blues clash a little bit (the main bar blue, compared to the blue of "+ Reply to Thread" and the Quick Reply box. Any way to get those to match?

I noticed that as well and haven't found the location for those yet. It's nice to see others noticed this as well. Same with Post New Thread and other buttons as well. Some of the light blue text should also be matched with the new blue color. That will make a easier to read as well.

I think I have everything matching now. Used a slightly darker blue and the big blue buttons turn yellow when you hover over them.
You can always zoom in by holding the Apple (Mac) or Control (Windows) key and the + key. Zoom out with the - key and reset to default setting with the 0 (zero) key.Last edited by nordwulf; 20 August 2010 at 00:45.

Look! This forum looks almost like the early version of SAABWorld! http://www.cleanforum.com/forums/content.php
Anybody understand what they are talking about? Clean language? Clearing things up? Don't laugh. They have hundreds of members and thousands of posts!
EDIT: I think I figured it out. That forum discusses the "clean" concept of non-judgemental use of language by psychotherapists and follows the writing of a New Zealand psychotherapist who died a few years ago. Talk about obscure!Last edited by Dave T; 21 August 2010 at 00:05.

The colors of Swedish flag were clashing a bit with the other blue and yellow. I played around with he flags but find quite busy with all the colors. But perhaps I looked at it for too long and the design seems to be missing something.

The flags have been added. It can be a bit of a challenge to make sure colors and horizontal/vertical stripes are spread out evenly.
