9-3 window symbols
Hello, just bought a 93 in Queensland Australia - I think I love it! Can you advise the sun block rating suggested by the symbols on the windows, (French Saint .... Securisol) It has a symbol of the sun, some rays, the window and then some smaller rays inside the car.
Thanks for any help you can offer, Best regards rob

Does this help a bit? A look at auto glass and Saint-Gobain Sekurit, supplier to Saab | Saint-Gobain Sekurit

Thanks Dave, I had already found the page you noted. My question was specifically about the sun protection SPF offered by the standard saint gomain glass. The dealer who sold us the car was keen to sell us window tinting at additional cost, to "protect the leather". I just need to know if the standard glass offered any protection. Thanks again for your reply. Regards rob

Standard glass does offer protection. Depends if you want more. I added homemade tint that sticks by static cling and put it on the back dear side windows.

Sounds good Dave, I am more traditional and would prefer to understand what the oem suppliers glass offers. I am sure there is a Europe standard that the st gobain glass meets and details of the symbols on the glass like the dot and other codes you mention. Regards rob
