New here from Canada
I just signed on here today. Happy New Year everyone!
I have owned and operated a Saab independent repair shop for the past 30 years. I will be watching help topics and posting help when I can.
Looking forward to catching up on reading older posts,
Mark

Hello and welcome Mark. It is always great to see new members who want to share their knowledge. It sounds like you currently do not have a repair shop anymore?
Impressive collection of Saabs!

Hi Mark, I am in Halifax, proud owner of 2 9-5s, a wagon and a sedan. Check out my post about the turbo in my 1999 9-5.

Welcome! In BC, some people with ties to Alberta register their cars there due to lower insurance costs and license plate costs.

@Spear I posted a reply to your thread about your turbo.
@Dave I thought BC had cheaper gov't insurance rates?

Sadly Saab is no longer making cars for North America so I had to buy a BMW. Vancouver $1900, Seattle $700. $700 is with good coverage, not just bare bones coverage. I chose to insure it in Seattle. It's legal because I spend enough time there.
ICBC has 99% of the market. It is government but it isn't cheaper. ICBC probably has lots of office expenses and staff.

Dave maybe its where you are? Our 2 Saabs are getting very cheap coverage, compared to where we were in Maine. $250 a month with TD in Halifax.
