Yeah - I will eventually get to this - for now it seems before getting out of the car if I switch the Theft Alarm setting in the SID from FULL to Doors ONLY the alarm doesn't go off Temp fix.... lol

My sister's 06 aero is having this issue too. I haven't plugged in a Tech II yet to see what the alarm code says. She just locks all of her doors manually to avoid the alarm turning on...

I ended up "fixing" this by un-programming the alarm from the car FYI. It needs a new glass with the sensor in it. I'm happy to know no-one is going to steal my Saab anyways because it's a Saab. Alarm - disabled. No issues ever since.

I'm new to the newer Saab's and I'm having the same problem, How can I disable the alarm or "doors only" option in the SID? Thanks!

If you haven't pulled your battery cable to reset everything do that first. If the beeping doesn't go away do it again and then program with the SID if you can. If it's just confused the SID will allow you to go silent, or doors only, after that the SID on this car is nothing but glitz.

You can't. Every time you remotely unlock the car the alarm resets itself to the default full alarm, even if you had selected the "doors only" option before you locked the car. The only way is to permanently disable the alarm with a Tech2. But if you have the car connected to a Tech2 then also read out which sensor triggered the alarm. So if it is always the same sensor then checking/replacing the connections/sensor can resolve the problem.

Mine alarm was suddenly constantly triggered, had my Saab specialist check with the Tech2 what was causing the alarms. I suspected the boot door glass sensor (Sport Estate) but it was just the rear left door which constantly triggered the alarm. Cleaned all connections in the rear left door (all connections of the door module and the door lock) and have not had a problem ever since, now almost two years ago.

And if the problem is the glass break sensor; just solder together the two connections to the glass break sensor so there will always be continuity in the wiring and it will never trip the alarm again (and if somebody breaks in through the boot window then the ultrasonic sensors will trip the alarm anyway...). The boot door glass break sensor is often a problem because the connections crack due to the slamming of the boot door.
