Hi Tom
Certainly "an interesting move" - sorry to hear it might be an expensive one at the end of the story. Did you note any Diagnostic Trouble Codes (fault codes) thrown?
I agree to that the "reconditioned route" could decrease the price a lot.

Hi 93 Aero.
The garage had the car for 4 day,s, So did,nt see any error codes, but the machanic said there were error codes being thrown up.
Have just had a thought, and posted an advert for radio/cd on the site to see if anyone has one for sale. But it has to be divorced from the previous vehicle correctly so it can be re programmed to suit my car Tom

They've been on ebay UK, the latest quite recently, price range £26 - 50. And there is one, declared to be brand new, down under with the Aussies: Saab 9 3 9440 2009 2010 Radio CD Player 12784117 | eBay, price AU $500.00.
Have a nice weekend.

HI 9-3 Aero.
Will have a look at Ebay, for that price? But have to be carefull that they have been divorced from the last vehicle
correctly or else they are useless. Have found one from a saab dismantlers for £310 that is relativelly new, and it has been removed correctly. But will keep looking for the next few days untill i know the car is keeping it,s charge. you have a good weekend too. Tom

i have a battery drain problem as well. I need to jump my 93 Aero, 2006 every time. tried replacing the battery and that was no success. while running the alternator put out proper voltage. I think I have a wiring problem somewhere. Tech II test showed that all onboard computers were fine.
