Anyone knows what's the name of this engine part?
I was looking at my engine yesterday and I realized there is something missing, which I can clearly see on this picture. Maybe it is not the same engine, but it looks identical to my own B235 in my 9-5. I posted a picture below with an arrow indicating what part am I inquiring about. It is the silvery, cone-shaped thingy that sticks out of the engine block towards the battery. If anyone can tell me what is that part and what purpose does it serve, I'd greatly appreciate it.
Thanks.Last edited by Dsvorc41; 13 February 2014 at 19:24.

That is a vacuum making thingy only found on automatics. If you have a manual than you should have nothing there.
