Brake rotor verification
In looking for replacement rotors for my 2000 9-5 SE wagon, I've run across some confusing information: several of the companies that carry rotors tell me that the brakes are either Aero or other? The SE wagon seems to have the standard front rotors but uses the Aero rear; is that correct?
Anyone have thoughts on this?

I guess the other term would be discs.

Ha ok. Well the aero has bigger front discs (308mm). Here in the Netherlands there is also a version, not aero but 2.3T ( instead of 2.3t) and they have also the bigger discs. The bigger discs only allow for 16" wheels.
The rest 2.3t and 2.0t have smaller front discs. There are brackets available that convert the small disc configuration to aero discs configuration. You have to fit 16" wheels at least after the conversion.
The rear discs are the same.
The front brake discs and blocks are the same regardless of build year. The rear is different (as is the whole rear axle although the whole axles are interchangeable). The year of change is the same as the change of the front and rear bumpers/lights in 2001/2002

Brother dan, you probably don't have the Aero 300mm rear disks. I would say the smaller diameter. if you have a small rail road looking patern in between the rear disk face and the hat that is the Aero 300mm rear.
