Oil relief valve removal and replacement-need assistance
Having issues getting the oil relief valve piston out (which is stuck). Using a coat hangar, WD40 and solvent did not do the trick.
Any ideas?
I''ve been told to unplug the DIC fuse and crank it-but think I want to make that a last resort.
I just installed this new piston Saturday, and it must have gotten stuck immediately.
Any fresh ideas on ensuring a functional piston once it is installed?

With now two stuck pistons, are you sure the problem isn't with the body of the PRV?

My trick always work
I used a M12 bolt to get the piston out .
Insert straight up without touching the inside cylinder .
Halfway in , you will be inside the bottom of the piston.
Then push a bit deeper and start wobbling (gently)
The clearance between outside bolt and inside piston is +- 1mm.
The piston will come out bit by bit , without making damage .Using Tapatalk
