We should print up business cards and stick them under the windshield wiper of any Saab we see to bring in more people!

I do that with stickers. I have yet for someone to say they've come to the site from that, so now I reserve them for a truly nice Saab.

Hmmm... $9 for 250? That means 1000 is pretty darn cheap. Send some to people in different parts of the world, and have them start slipping them under wipers! Hmmm...

So all that got me thinking...

I just mocked up a plain-Jane, simple buisness card. $19.00 for 1000! Hmmmm...

If we can settle on a design, would people be interested in keeping a small stack in their car to slip under the wiper of a Saab they see and like? Who's interested?

The link takes me to a sign-in page. I definitely would be willing to carry them around and put them on Saabs I see.

Basically it just this... super basic, but I'm not very creative. Anyone is free to suggest ideas.

I fear that leaving cards on cars will backfire. They will not be happy with Saabworld. They might think "why are you leaving this (expletive) on my car!". On the other hand, handing the driver a card in person would be appreciated.

A very small percentage of Saab owners seem to be on the forums. I imagine owners of older Saabs will be easier to convince to visit a Saab enthusiasts site. Instead of under the windshield, perhaps it is better to slip the card between side window and window frame. As Dave mentioned, I don't like to find flyers under my windshield wiper either.

I don't like them either, but I would change my mind about it if I found one that had "Nice car!" or something written on it. So waste of money and time pestering people, or an effective way to help grow the site?

Perhaps include a brief description of the site on the card? Perhaps with a few lines like "Hello! I noticed your Saab and would like to invite you to our site. Whenever you need help with repairs, maintenance or any other advice, yada, yada, yada." And perhaps include some space to fill in with your own user name to make it a bit more personal.
