9000 Louver hardware issues - need advice or help
I have a 1986 9000 and a set of louvers for it. Problem is the parts are nearly as old as the car and they are missing the lower corner locks which attach to the glass. I also have to fabricate new hinge mounts for the top as the "bolts" have rotted away and don't exist.
Has anyone ever had luck MAKING lower mounts - it's a flat portion with a post with a ball on the end. The louvers have a swing arm to lock onto this to allow you to lift the louvers for cleaning. Attached it keeps the louvers firmly attached to the glass to prevent rattling and lift.
Some pictures I've taken @ events of the parts in question;
