To help or not to help - that's the question - the reply is without known MY!

    The DTCs, from the WIS:
    - P0106: "Manifold Absolute Pressure Sensor Circuit. Plausibility Fault with Atmosphere Pressure". If set, this code will throw P2227 as well, and EGR control will be stopped (P1404?)
    - P0244 3: "Boost Pressure To Low Mechanical Fault". Fuse and relay in instrument panel are F14 / E.
    - P1380: "Glow Control Unit Feedback Error". Fuse and relay in instrument panel are F14 / E.
    - P1404: "EGR Valve PWM Signal Circuit. Open Circuit". Fuse and relay in instrument panel are F14 / E.
    - P2227: "Atmosphere Pressure Sensor Circuit. Plausibility Fault with Manifold Absolute Pressure". If set, this code will throw P0106 as well, and EGR control will be stopped.

Looks to me like a kind of a catch 22, however would the first steps taken be check / replacement of the fuse and relay. The relay could possibly be swapped with another one in the box (they are not all alike), however no suggestion is following due to unknown MY.

Apart from this, are leaking or disconnected vacuum - and air hoses suspects.

Thanks for the mine of info although I have no "deep understanding" of what you say it sounds like I am heading for the fuse and relay box and maybe clean the EGR Valve and check all hoses. Could you explain the term "MY".
    Thank you again

    MY is Model Year.

Many things going on with your car and not too many diesel owners on the site here, unfortunately.

Hi 9.3 Aero and Wulf, the problem is that it is intermittent yesterday no engine management light today yes, could it be a faulty or dirty sensor? The cars performance or mpg is not affected, the error codes seem to be related to the EGR valve and failures in these things seem fairly common.

    Hi.

Coincidentally, if one for the time being look at fault code (DTC) P0106 only, is there a parallel case on the UKSaabs site, pertaining to a MY2004 9-5: UKSaabs • View topic - CEL with P0106 2004 9-5 with 2.2 Tid

The Manifold Absolute Pressure Sensor (MAP) is fairly accessible, so why not as a first step go for check and cleaning, if so required.

What is a kind of odd, is that when P0106 is thrown, should the P1106 be set, and vice versa, by the engine control module (PSG 16). This is true in a thread ongoing on our domestic Saab forum, regarding a MY2003 9-5.
