    New York, US - 1967 SAAB 96 V4 - Only 655 miles

This should belong in a museum. Or buy, drive and pretend it's 1967...!

Just wish the pictures were better than a few snapshots with a phone...

    From eBay:

1967 Saab 96 with 655 original miles. This car is just like it came from the factory. It has never been touched or restored. Runs and drives perfect. I have all the history and documentation. This is most likely the last on in existence other then at the saab museum. You will not find one like this anywhere. If you are a saab collector and are serious you want to see this car. Any questions please ask and I will answer.

One thing I have started to add to the dollars to doughnuts equation for auto value is how much bang for the buck you get in terms of performance and handling as well as the beauty of the design. I have wanted one of these but regarding this and an old Rover my mech had for sale, he warned against them knowing me for awhile and said I wouldn't be happy.

I'd be a happy camper in that little slow V-4 for say perhaps $8,000 but for $20,000 with reserve still not met? It's cute but slow and perhaps doesn't even come with the nominal (plan on taking some loss of course), return if you resell it. Not hard on the eyes though especially if I can come and look at it in your garage?

Reserve not met at 35,100. Strange. He never answered my question as to why he was using the VIN of a 2001 Dodge Viper GTS. If this car is for real, he could surely post better photos and get the VIN right.

$35K is much higher than I thought it would go. Auction prices for pristine vintage Saabs often show prices that are much lower.

When selling cars like this where many buyers are not able to come see the car themselves, it pays off to have a professional photographer do a photoshoot.
