Transmission Fluid for Saab 2004 95 auto 4cyl
Can I put in Royal Purple transmission fluid in my 2004 95 Arc 4 cyl. I received a case of 12 quarts as a gift. Or what should I use? Thank you.

No. Toyota Type 4 or Mobil 3309 which you get on Amazon or a Toyotadealer.

Thank you for the quick response. I was reading the manual and it does say: 3309. I'll take a picture of the bottle of Royal Purple that says what transmissions you can use it with. It does say 3309. I'll post the picture in the morning, Thanks again. Charley.

Here's a photo of the back of the bottle: What do you think. Thanks again.

No, that is synthetic. You can't use it.

Dexron-I, Dexron-II, Dexron-III, and Dexron-VI are vastly different fluids. Nothing can be a replacement for all of these. In fact, Dexron-I was banned in the early 1970's because one of its components was Whale Oil!
Recommended by Royal Purple because they only need to market one ATF. I am sure none of the listed companies has endorsed its use as a replacement fluid.

The transmission does not have a filter that can be replaced.

You will need a 24mm wrench to open the bottom side drain plug. I am fairly certain the 2004 transmission still have a dipstick, and the dip stick tube is the fill port for the transmission.
