New rear brake pads are too thick. What am I doing wrong?
I have the rear caliper off the car, put on new seals. I have the piston backed all the way in as far as it can go with the allen screw. The new pads are so thick that they won't fit over the rotor. Anybody ever had that problem? I hope I am missing something simple, thanks for the pointers.
EDIT: The pads really are too thick. The are 17.5 mm, compared to 14.7 to most others. I'll get some that fit.Last edited by Saabologist; 23 February 2015 at 01:49. Reason: updated information resolved the issue.
