Strange startup, smoke from turbo Cobra pipe
Got into my 9-5 this morning, and started her up like normal. Post ignition was not normal. Nice cloud of greyish blue smoke right after, didnt think much of it, as the blue smoke stopped as I kicked into Reverse. Drove 300 yards to pick something up from the end of the driveway, and back. Upon parking, I noticed a faint burning smell. First checked the exhaust, nothing. Then checked under the engine bay, smelled like burning leaves, as there were a lot outside. Opened up the hood and there was a little bit of smoke coming up from the joint between the turbo and the cobra pipe. Also looks like one of the bolts is not tightened completely.
Should be noted that I have my transmission light on, haven't scanned it yet. And also, CEL, telling me that I need a new emissions cartridge/vapor canister purge valve.
Any help appreciated!Last edited by Jacob Ilkka; 04 March 2015 at 21:00.

2.3t + blue smoke at startup = turbo seals. How many miles are on your turbo?

Not the turbo again...
Replaced it after it went bad when I was still in Savannah. Probably about 2 years ago. Maybe 25k? If that.
