nav unit / radio display malfunction

Hello-

First time poster looking for some direction please. I have a 2011 9-4X with the navigation option. The consol display will not boot up. It only displays the Saab logo or the GM logo. The radio is still playing on the last channel selected. Does anyone know if this is a matter of reprogramming, or is this a completed replacement? Any information would be helpful. Trying to assess the potential costs. Thanks!

These Nav systems are known to go out pretty heavily (dealership told me the majority of their loaner 9-5s have went out), so you may be looking at replacement. P/N is 20972237 and the book price is $2611.33. That being the case, if you do not currently have an ESC, you could possibly purchase one for around that same price and get that replaced (along with anything else like the taillight, etc.). Just my suggestion. Hope this helps and good luck with your 9-4X.
