Long night, we wrapped up around 11:30 PM last night. Here is a behind the scenes look of us at work getting everything together for SAABs@Carlisle.

Everyone that registered for the Car Show will receive a packet with a "SAABs@Carlisle; poster, blue stickers, dash plaque -- which btw came out very nice and all of the other pertinent show information, when we arrive on the showfield.

For those of you that registered with me for the SAAB Takeover Convoy, we have some additional black or clear SAABs@Carlisle stickers, some very nice lanyards and stickers from Dan at State of Nine, an event shirt, a shirt and cap and a discount voucher for SAAB parts from Romain at RBM SAAB Parts. We will have these to distribute during the convoy. If you want one of the cool event caps, let me know and we will get you one when we arrive on the show grounds Friday.

    Remember:

    1) We have a very nice green crystal SAAB Cup trophy, that will be presented on Saturday to the family that brings the most SAABs to the convoy. **You must be pre-registered to be eligible**.

    2) Please bring a toy for our Toys For Tots drive.

    3) Please bring a two-way radio for the convoy so everyone can stay informed during the drive.

We need 1 more volunteer to be the "chase car" during the convoy. This individual must have a two-way radio and would be responsible for everyone's safety by keeping track of all of the convoy participants. He/she would bring up the rear of the convoy and alert everyone of any issues. Ross has volunteered to be the lead/pace car, to keep everyone informed of: upcoming turns, road conditions, potential road hazards....

Kudos to Julie G, the entire team at the Central Penn SAAB Club, all of the sponsors, all of the cooks, all of the wonderful SAAB fans that came out and the Carlisle Staff --- what an incredible show and all of the SAABs were absolutely gorgeous. Someone needs to start a picture thread to show all of the beautiful SAABs, everywhere you turned there were some breathtaking SAABs!!

Saturday afternoon we had 2 very proud and deserving members from our Convoy to win 1st place trophies in their respective SAAB Classes: Ross B, who was the lead driver for our convoy, took 1st Place in the 9-5 Class with his gorgeous and very fast stage 5 burgundy 9-5. Ross had LEDs installed and they look incredible at night. Philip K had the most unique and probably most photographed car, a SPG Combo. His '85 SPG with an identical trailer( right down to the Shelby rims and twin Thule bike racks ) took 1st Place in the SPG Class. Amy and Philip K also won the SAAB Cup, with 5 1/2 SAABs entered in our SAAB Takeover Convoy!!!

As always there were some absolutely gorgeous SAABs, among the <300 SAABs, on the showfield today. If you were not in attendance today and even if you were, take the time to view posted picture threads.

Sunday was the Competition of Colors Voting and there were three 1st Place winners that rode in our SAAB Takeover Convoy. Amy K won the Red Category with her c900 Ruby Red Convertible. Philip K won the Yellow/Orange Category with his Monte Carlo Yellow c900 SE Convertible and my Malachite Green c900 Jetpack won the Green Category.

Thanks again to everyone that participated in our SAAB Takeover Convoy. Unbelievably, we only have 11 1/2 weeks before we get together for another convoy, this time down to the SAAB Owners Convention in Lexington, KY. It already looks like most of us will be getting back together to convoy to SOC '15!!!
