    Removed battery

    Greetings All
I removed the battery about 2 months ago from my 2001 93 (B205R Trionic).
A thought has just crossed my mind.
Has it now lost it's memory?
    Does it have a memory?
    Should I be concerned?
Is there no cause for concern?
    Or other.
    Thanks in advance
    Dave

I removed the battery from my 1999 9-3 to recharge it and my car didn't lose any memory except for the clock.

I'm just wondering about the amount of time it's been disconnected. It's a rough minimum of two months. Possibly more like four months.
It began with a leaking oil cooler pipe, then escalated from the idea, while I have it stripped down this much.... perhaps I should do something about...
And so far I'm part way through
    Sump drop.
    Strainer mesh replacement.
    sludging(just found in time)
    Cam cover gasket.
    Power steering pipe replacing.
    Oil breather kit.
    Oil pipes/hoses
    Water pipes/hoses.
    Intercooler hoses.
    Timing chain and related parts.
Rust removal and re-spraying the front body parts that have been hidden.
To name a few things going on.
Now wondering if I've done something to it's electronics.
    Cheers for now
    Dave

If you did do something to the electronics, it's already done. I think, most likely, a charged battery will bring everything back, except you will need to adjust the clock. In some newer cars, the automatic transmission needs some "learning" time but only in the newest of cars.

    Thank you for the advice.
I've been told the radio pre-sets and seat memory will be affected, but the factory set options via Tech 2- are hard coded on the car, so they wont go missing.
It's up to my memory, for the stations and seat settings.
So I guess that'll be for a different forum to deal with.
    Thanks again
    Dave
