It seems that Vladimir Antonov is off to face prison in Lithuania on charges of pilfering millions, some of which he diverted to Victor Muller to buy Saab..
With your European connections, can you confirm this?

The entire deal with Antonov and Spyker seemed a bit unusual. Antonov claims it's a political conspiracy by the government.

If I remember back to the initial arrest it was a sudden burst of weekend actions that sent millions into off shore banks that led to this. It appeared that Antonov was going to leave. I also remember that odd press statement that Muller came out with declaring that Antonov gave him the money. Of course Muller will have to face the court regarding tax evasion too because of his Saab days.
About the only person (also arrested), I feel sorry for is Ake I guess.

I was just reading a story about this in the Dutch news this morning. A judge cleared Muller from the tax evasion claims.

Thanks. Interesting that he is still being looked at for criminal prosecution. Just someone explain how he "deserved" a million here and there in bonus money. He didn't pay suppliers and the company was sinking. Makes no sense at all.

After suffering a loss in his final bid to halt his extradition to Lithuania where he had embezzled some $455m, a portion of which was said to have been provided to Victor Muller in order to buy Saab, Antonov, according to his lawyer, has fled the UK.
