Fault codes

Engine light keeps coming on, I've had the following pop up: 1334, 1312 and 1071. All cleared with OBD2 but 1334 occaisionaly comes back.

Any ideas

Codes 1312 & 1334 are usually triggered when the DIC is failing, code 1071 is usually O2 sensor - hope this helps!

Thanks for that, not being mechanical, whats the DIC, can I sort it myself or does it need a specialist. Only fault code i'm getting now on first start up is 1334, clear it with my OBD2 and then nothing until I start it form cold the next day.

DIC is the direct ignition cassette or coil pack, it's easy to change, it sits on the top of the engine on top of the spark plugs and is held in place by 4 screws.
I would change the spark plugs first and then if still pulling the 1334 code change the DIC.
Plugs are only about £8 - £10 for four but you need to buy NGK ones, I bought NGK BCPR6ES - 11, if still pulling the 1334 code then replace the DIC, it cost's an eye watering £230 on eBay, I bought mine locally at Euro Car Parts but paid £275 (Make sure you buy a Saab genuine part) the Chinese copies are known to be problematic!
I've had no more error codes since replacing the DIC.

I just bought a new DIC from rockauto.com and it works great. The "WELLS" brand only cost me $150 US and was New old stock or refurb from SAAB OEM part. good buy at half the price.
