    thanks for the tips on the motor mounts jskrebs.
    I was thinking of maybe replacing the headliner material myself.
    I will check motor mounts and shift rod today.

    hey, im having the same problem with my 1988. so you replaced the fuel relay? any tips on getting to it? i tried and it seemed like i had remove center console to get the lower dash panel out. thanks -volvoguy

    I just pulled the carpet down and removed one screw on the panel stuffed my hand up there and wigled it out.
    It's very tight but if you can get your hand on it you can pull it up and out.
