    Saabs on the road

I am in Sweden for a week and spotting so many Saabs. Nothing special in this country but it looks like there is a Saab convention going on in every town I pass through! I posted some pictures on the SW Facebook page but I think we need a thread for any Saab you spot in the 'wild'.

Anything goes really. Any picture of any Saab you see on the road belongs in this thread.

An average 900 in remarkably good shape somewhere on the Eastern coast in Härnösand.

Driving on the main road towards Umea, I spotted these two Saabs. Not sure why theye were there but they sure caught my attention.

The 9-5 estate/wagon is nothing special in Sweden but this color and wheels are just awesome in the eyes of a foreign Saab enthusiast.

I passed a local dirt race track and expected an old Saab there. And yes, there was one.

This one looks like a 1984 900 possibly one that I would want to buy if I were in 1984. In those days, many cars had ugly hubcaps and, in my opinion, only "rich people" had alloy wheels so those painted steel wheels were a joy to me! My car had those same wheels.

Wulf, make sure you use up all your cash because Sweden is getting new money (coins and paper) starting in October 2015 and 2016 and voiding all of the old money after about a year. Only 10 krona coins will retain value.

Whilst wandering around the web looking for all things Saab, I came across something I thought you may be interested in.
    Het Saab Topic - AutoWeek.nl
3/4 down the page is what I believe to be a Saab double wing plane and a Saab Car. The car is supporting the same coloured stripes as the two you photographed on your travels.
And a little further down are apparently two Saab camper vans.

I am traveling through New Zealand this week and saw only 2 Saabs on the road. One older 2nd gen 9-3 in Christchurch a few days ago and a 9-5 on the west coast today. I am not even sure if new Saabs were officially sold here.

New Saabs were sold in New Zealand but there was a gap when they were not sold and then they were restarting sales when Saab collapsed. I don't know the exact years that Saabs were sold but my guess is that the classic 900 was sold and new Saab sales continued until at least 2008.

Found this picture on Flickr taken by Saabrobz yesterday. https://www.flickr.com/photos/saabrobz/30013497906/

I took a picture of these 2 Saabs in Trollhattan about a year ago. Looks like they haven't moved at all. https://www.flickr.com/photos/frankwulfers/29942790742

Very interesting. They did trim the plants near the left car. They may have washed the car on the right.

EDIT: I got the order wrong. The top picture is the new picture. The plants are growing.
