    Crankshaft Sensor replacement

Hi all, I suspect I need to replace the crankshaft sensor on my 2004 9-5 2.2 Linear, I have viewed umpteen diagrams but none of which appear to represent the engine I have? Can you tell me if the location is the same before I strip of the underbelly on my car! Even better can someone give me a part number for the sensor. A Vauxhall owner has passed on that the sensor is located inside the fuel pump!!!!!????? can anyone confirm or hopefully deny this!!!!

I am pretty sure you won't find the CPS inside the fuel pump.

Here are the instructions from the WIS: Saab 9-5 2.2 diesel - crankshaft position sensor.pdf

Thank you Wulf, the message is never never listen to a Vauxhall owner
Does the spring clip on the sensor come forwards or back. Do you have a part number? Does the cable become part of the loom?

Thanks a million my wife is currently driving a Peugeot 307 and wants her Saab back, driving another car certainly makes you appreciate a Saab!

Changed the crank position sensor, car now sound, part cost £12.99 took ten minutes to strip and fit new one, biggest job was jacking car up taking the guard off and then reversing the procedure! Thanks again to Wulf for the diagram
